The history behind the land at Bent Tree
Up here at the headwaters of the Arkansas River, the land is alive with deer, elk, coyotes, hawks, horses and a local favorite...trout. And home to some of the friendliest people in Colorado.
The Friend family ranched this land for over 75 years. The valley is wide and long. Snow-capped 14,000-foot peaks look down on it. The high mountain meadows roll out far as the eye can see. Rivers run through it swift and free. Golden aspen forests climb the mountains to timberline. Blue skies up above. Fresh air and pure water. It's very peaceful.
